Frustrated that climate action and real integrity reform have been stalled by vested interests like the fossil fuel lobby, and a political system that puts party interests ahead of the people, Australians are demanding change.
They’re realising that if the major parties won’t act on the issues that matter, they can find and back independent leaders who will.
Communities are telling us the same thing: they’re energised but under-resourced. They know the kind of leaders they want, but need help to find and support them. They don’t want to wait for the next election cycle to start building momentum.
In 2024, our Community Accelerator Fund raised over $1.2 million for grassroots community groups. Those who received funding told us the grants were critical to getting off the ground. Many also said, “We wish we’d had this support earlier.”
