Under Victoria’s new donation laws, Climate 200’s own electoral spending must come from a dedicated Victorian Election Fund.
We have ambitious plans between now and November, including strategic and targeted persuasive campaigns that support key candidates and push back on the far right and One Nation.
But we urgently need the support of the Climate 200 community to capitalise the account under strict caps.
Your donation today will provide essential funding for:
- Financial support for new Community Independent campaigns between now and November
- Sophisticated voter persuasion tactics that change votes and help pave candidate’s path to victory
- Targeted campaigns to hold major parties to account and target the far right.
- Any dedicated Victorian election staff.
About Victoria's electoral donation rules: Please ensure you donate no more than a total of $5,190 to Climate 200’s Victorian campaign account before the November election. Donations over $1,290 also need to be disclosed to the Victorian Electoral Commission within 21 days, which Climate 200 can support you to do on request. Only Australian citizens, permanent residents and Australian businesses with an ABN are eligible to donate.
