Climate 200 is delighted to invite you to an online event with special guest, Dr Kerryn Phelps AM to celebrate the launch of her incredible memoir: Power of Balance. 

Dr Phelps has had a remarkable journey.

She was the first woman to be elected to the seat of Wentworth in 2018 (and prior to that, the first woman to be elected president of the Australian Medical Association). 

Her time in Parliament left a significant legacy: Dr Phelps was instrumental in the campaign to get children out of immigration detention on Nauru.

As an independent, she was a pivotal forerunner in the community independents movement. Her pathway into politics has inspired many independent candidates and politicians who have followed since.
