Democracy Under Threat

Democracy Under Threat

In conversation with Zoe Daniel, Rex Patrick, and Richard Denniss

Join Zoe Daniel, Rex Patrick and Richard Denniss as they discuss how rigged election laws threaten our democracy and the importance of the Fair Elections Case.

At a time when the combined major party vote is at an all-time low, Labor & The Coalition have colluded to limit your choices at the ballot box by rigging election laws against Independent and minor party candidates.

Zoe Daniel and Rex Patrick are challenging the constitutional validity of these new laws in the High Court of Australia, with thousands of Australians chipping in to help fund their case.

Simon will kick off the event with an exclusive analysis of the latest AEC disclosure data, revealing the big money behind the major parties and whether or not they'll be impacted by the new laws.

Then, get a behind-the-scenes look at the Fair Elections Case, in a panel discussion with Zoe, Rex and Richard, moderated by Climate 200 co-convenor Kate Hook. Plus get all of your questions answered in an interactive Q&A.
