Communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis are mobilising in response to the government’s approval of the north west shelf extension and the announcement of their inadequate 2035 emissions reduction targets.

‍Climate 200 has received over a hundred thousand dollars in grant requests from community groups for strategic interventions like early polling, deep digital engagement, and early candidate ID – and that was before the targets were announced.

In the coming weeks, more local climate champions will step forward seeking funding for early polling, candidate ID programs, and deep digital engagement to lay the crucial groundwork to win in 2028. But because people have disengaged from politics after the election, we can't currently meet that demand without further support.

Climate 200 only accepts donations from Australian citizens, permanent residents and Australian companies. Climate 200 is required to disclose the name and address of any person or entity that makes donations above the $17,300 disclosure threshold in the financial year ending 30 June 2026.
